Requirement Analysis
We started by conducting in-depth research with freelancers, consultants, and solo service providers to understand their financial workflows, common pain points, and bookkeeping challenges. This phase focused on identifying issues like scattered spreadsheets, delayed client payments, and difficulty tracking expenses and profits. Based on these insights, we defined clear functional requirements for core modules such as income, expenses, invoices, withdrawals, dues, and analytics. This groundwork ensured that every feature addressed real user needs and laid a strong foundation for a solution that simplifies financial management without overwhelming the user.
Information Architecture
Once requirements were clear, we structured the platform’s information architecture. Each module—income, expenses, invoices, dues, deposits, withdrawals, and dashboards—was mapped to create seamless workflows. Data flows were designed so that income automatically updates invoices, expenses reflect in analytics, and withdrawals and deposits integrate into the cashflow overview. This planning ensured a logical, intuitive experience, where freelancers can access financial insights at a glance. All interactions were designed to be predictable, reducing user errors and improving efficiency across the platform.
Wireframes & UI
High-fidelity wireframes and UI designs were created to translate workflows into visually clear, functional screens. Focus was placed on highlighting critical financial data such as profit margins, due payments, and cashflow trends, while keeping advanced features accessible but unobtrusive. Every element, from invoice builders to transaction tables and dashboard charts, was designed for usability, clarity, and consistency. Backend Development
The backend was developed to handle all financial operations securely and efficiently. This included ledger logic, automated invoice calculations, tracking of partial payments, expense categorization, and aggregation for analytics. Secure role-based access ensured sensitive financial data remained protected, while modular architecture allowed seamless integration of all features. APIs were created for real-time updates on dashboards, and data validation processes guaranteed accuracy.
